We called the number, and she told us she wrote the check and she did it because someone told her to do so, but she couldn't remember who. She sounded elderly and confused and hung up. Then a few minutes later the guy who has been calling my father called us. He gave two different names: Mr. Novack and Mr. Winston. We have no idea of the lady is part of the scam or if she is being used.
